At the 2nd Asian Manufacturing Forum (AMF) on September 25, Sany won the "2008 Asia Enterprise Award".

In a bid to promote dialogues between Asian manufacturers and the rise of Asian manufacturing, the 2nd AMF, cosponsored by the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce (ACFIC), Asian Manufacturing Association and Shenyang Municipal People's Government, was held in Shenyang from September 24 to 25. The forum is intended for commending renowned Asian enterprises and bench enterprises as well as famous Chinese manufacturing cities and granting awards including "2008 Asian Star", "2008 Asia Enterprise Award" and "2008 Famous Chinese Manufacturing City".

Through review by the expert panel, six renowned Asian enterprises won the "2008 Asia Enterprise Award". Besides Sany, other five included Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Shenyang Machine Tool, Omron, LG and Pohang Steel.

During the forum, discussions themed by "sustainable development","productive service industry", "brand and innovation", "auto industry" and "equipment manufacturing" were held. Huang Mengfu, vice chairman of the CPPCC and chairman of the ACFIC, and Chen Zhenggao, governor of Liaoning Province, attended the forum.
